Senior Tax Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Consultant to join our Tax Consulting team in Melbourne. As a Senior Tax Consultant, you will provide outstanding tax compliance and advisory services to our growing portfolio of international corporate clients, as well as assisting with providing specialist tax advice for privately-owned businesses and high wealth family groups.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with advisory engagements including tax due diligence, structuring, tax consolidation, and thin capitalization.
- Undertake tax research, analyzing and interpreting tax legislation.
- Draft advice for clients in relation to various Australian taxation issues.
- Corporate income tax returns and associated compliance obligations, including International Dealings Schedules.
- Specialized compliance obligations, including Country-by-Country Reporting.
- Communication with clients and regulatory bodies.
About You:
- We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2-4 years' experience in a tax role with an Australian accounting firm.
- Candidates with either generalist corporate tax experience or experience in a specialist role (e.g., transfer pricing) are encouraged to apply.
- We also welcome candidates with Business Services experience who have a passion for tax and are looking to move into a technical tax role.
- Completed a Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Law degree (or equivalent).
- Completion of the Chartered Accountants Program (or CPA) is preferred.
- Good working experience with Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Ability to work with others.
- Confidence in dealing with clients and technical issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to learn.
