Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned IT professional to assume the role of Release Manager. This key position plays a pivotal part in ensuring that enterprise-wide release management activities are executed smoothly and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the governance of interdependent release plans, coordinating with cross-functional delivery teams, and embedding best practices that support the successful transition of projects into production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of high-quality release documentation (procedures, runbooks, templates, decision logs).
  • Cross-functional collaboration with business units, technical teams, and delivery groups to coordinate release activities.
  • Review and improve release and deployment processes, aligning with industry frameworks such as ITIL, change, and transition methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive risk assessments and impact analyses associated with major releases.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, security standards, and operational readiness protocols.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading enterprise-level release management in complex ICT environments.
  • Proven track record in enhancing release frameworks, tools, and documentation practices.
  • Strong knowledge of program governance, ICT delivery models (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), and enterprise change processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging senior executives and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on risk, assurance, and performance metrics.
