About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Development Engineer to join our team at Qantas Group. As an Aircraft Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of software to analyze Aircraft Performance Monitoring (APM) data received directly from the aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement software to analyze APM data and monitor performance trends.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to deliver optimized performance outcomes.
  • Conduct technical evaluation studies for current and future aircraft types.
  • Work closely with aircraft and engine manufacturers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop tools to enhance productivity and improve aircraft performance.
Requirements
  • Professional Engineering tertiary qualification.
  • Strong interest and skillset in software development.
  • Relevant experience in Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, or Go.
  • Strong understanding of airline operations, aircraft performance, and navigation.
  • Basic knowledge of optimization techniques and algorithms.
