About the Role

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with Qantas, you will be responsible for performing aircraft maintenance and rectification tasks to a high standard. You will work closely with our specialist teams in our hangar environments, ensuring excellent engineering standards and a commitment to safety, quality, reliability, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform aircraft maintenance and rectification tasks in accordance with manufacturers' and company specifications
  • Work collaboratively with specialist teams to ensure excellent engineering standards
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and processes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Aircraft maintenance technician trade qualification or equivalent, preferably under EASA or CASA regulations
  • Relevant aircraft maintenance trade experience, minimum 10 years (mechanical or avionics)
  • Extensive aircraft servicing experience on various aircraft in a maintenance environment (advantageous)
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures
  • Commitment to all safe working practices and service standards
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to being customer-focused with flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required
  • Highly developed attention to detail
  • Demonstrated high ethical/behavioral standards and self-discipline
  • Ability to work shift work on a 24/7 rotational shift roster
  • Meet all Visa requirements, including English language proficiency, with the ability to meet the English language requirements set by the Department of Home Affairs
