Sorting Room Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to oversee the sorting and processing of donated items in our Uniting Op Shop Hub. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality stock for the shop floor by managing the sorting process, training and supervising volunteers, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

This is an ongoing part-time role, working 48 hours per fortnight, providing a great opportunity to be part of a friendly community and bring your creative flair to create visually appealing and contemporary Op Shops.

About the Job
  • Manage the sorting process to ensure high-quality stock for the shop floor
  • Train and supervise volunteers to maintain a productive and efficient environment
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards

This role is perfect for someone with a passion for fashion and charity retail, and a flair for visual merchandising. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to perform physical tasks associated with sorting and moving donated items, and a keen eye for detail to identify quality items.
