At Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL), we are seeking a passionate Warehouse Sorting Assistant to join our dedicated Social Enterprise team.

Location: Kensington

Job Type: Permanent Full-Time, working 38 hours per week

Salary: $53,399.88 per annum, based on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation

About the role:

The position's purpose is to sort clothing and Bric-A-Brac to supply the BSL Opportunity Stores and Hunter Gather Stores.

• Sorting and separating incoming goods, including removal of rubbish and hard goods
• Sorting different categories of donated goods
• Preparing and packing orders for retail stores
• Loading and unloading trucks as required
• Maintaining a clean work environment

Key skills and experiences include:

• Previous warehouse experience (desirable but not essential)
• Knowledge of brand names, quality items, and vintage wear
• Understanding of opportunity shops, recycling, sustainable fashion practices, and circular fashion
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team to achieve objectives
