Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Construction team in the Hawkesbury region. The successful candidate will be responsible for working on Sydney Water Assets, including sewerage treatment plants, water treatment plants, and reservoirs. This is a 10-year program of works offering job stability and opportunities for training and career progression.

About the Role

  • Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on water infrastructure assets, including pipes and valves.
  • Work on a diverse range of mechanical equipment, including pump replacement, penstock renewal, pipework installation, and general maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with the Construction team to ensure that all work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge and skills to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
  • Work Safely at Heights certification (training will be provided if necessary).
  • Enter Confined Space certification (training will be provided if necessary).
  • Provide First Aid certification.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills

  • Flange Management.
  • Elevated Work Platform.
  • Tubing & Fitting (Install/Inspect).
  • High Risk Work Licence – Dogging (DG).
  • Leads reliability and performance improvements.
  • Trains and coaches other staff.
