Job Description

As a skilled Mechanical Fitter, you will play a vital role in the success of our high-profile shutdown project at Port Kembla Steelworks. This career-defining opportunity offers a collaborative on-site culture and opportunities for career progression.

You will work 10-hour shifts, 6 days a week, enjoying a coastal lifestyle while being part of a friendly, inclusive team. Our site is Responsible Steel certified – the first in Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical fitting tasks to support the successful completion of the project
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve project goals

  • Australian Trade Qualification – Cert III Mechanical Engineering
