**Job Opportunity for Temporary Psychiatrist:**

  • We are seeking a qualified medical practitioner to fill the role of Temporary Staff Specialist Psychiatrist.

**Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:**

  • The ideal candidate should be a Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and/or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Staff Specialist (State) Award.
  • A strong ability to work constructively and effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment is essential, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Leadership and supervision of medical trainees, residents, and students are also required.
  • A demonstrated interest in quality improvement methodologies is highly valued.

**Requirements and Experience:**

  • Medical Practitioner registered or able to be registered in Australia, inclusive of an unrestricted provider number.
  • Recognised specialist qualifications, Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and/or other equivalent specialist recognition.
  • Appropriate experience to practice as a senior medical practitioner in old age psychiatry.
  • Certificate in Old Age Psychiatry is also necessary.
