Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned software professional to lead the development of our Rust-based web and API applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing robust, well-documented, and tested software systems.

The successful applicant will collaborate closely with our architecture, engineering, and product teams to build internal libraries, contribute to greenfield projects, and define best practices for an expanding Rust team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement hardened, documented, and tested web and API-based applications
  • Build and maintain our growing collection of libraries
  • Define and enforce best practices for our expanding Rust team
  • Contribute to greenfield projects, focusing on event-based architectures, cloud, and serverless technologies

Requirements:

  • Technical competence is critical; passion for communication and collaboration across the business is essential
  • Solid experience creating and maintaining web-based and API-based applications, ideally in Rust
  • Demonstrate having built non-trivial Rust projects, preferably web-related
  • Comfortable with JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, and collaborate effectively with a remote team
  • Strong documentation skills and a mindset that untested code is broken
  • Autonomous, dependable, responsible, and committed
