Operational Pharmacist Position

We are seeking an experienced pharmacist to fill our operational pharmacist role. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to a diverse patient group.

In this position, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients receiving surgical inpatient and outpatient treatment, as well as those undergoing post-operative or IVF care.

  • Morning Dispensing and supplying medication and pharmacy products
  • Afternoon Creating and providing medication profiles to patients on discharge
  • Lunchtime Counselling hospital patients on discharge medications
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
  • Supporting patients, carers, and hospital staff through the patient journey
  • Educating and advising staff and patients on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection, and the proper use of medicines

About You

  • Current AHPRA registration as a pharmacist is mandatory
  • Prior experience in an Australian or New Zealand pharmacy environment is highly regarded
  • A strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) is essential
  • Exceptional time management, communication, and teamwork skills are required
  • A commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth is expected
  • A high level of attention to detail and ability to work independently is necessary
