Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Project Manager to join our team at Essilor. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight and management of logistics projects from initiation through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment with our goals and objectives, while monitoring progress and addressing risks to keep projects on track.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute tasks and achieve project milestones efficiently.
  • Analyze and optimize logistics processes by identifying inefficiencies, proposing solutions, implementing best practices, and integrating automation and technology to improve operational efficiency.
  • Allocate resources effectively to support project activities and meet project requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure availability of resources, equipment, and materials needed for project execution.
  • Be the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including senior management, project team members, vendors, and external partners.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability and performance of logistics processes and systems.
  • Conduct quality reviews, audits, and inspections to verify compliance with project specifications and standards.
Requirements
  • 8 years' experience in logistics project management, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience within an international and multi-customer business.
  • Strong understanding of logistics principles, supply chain operations, and transportation management.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, Microsoft Project).
  • Experience in financial controlling activities such as Project budget and cost allocations.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions.
  • Solid experience with SAP, AFS, FMS, WMS, TMS, and automation application packages.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
