About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team at Freshwater Group. As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for designing MV systems, HV, and grid connection assets for solar and BESS projects. Your expertise will be invaluable in signing off on detailed electrical design reports for these assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and specify electrical systems for MV, HV, and grid connection assets
  • Develop and implement commissioning plans and test records
  • Collaborate with junior engineers to mentor and share knowledge
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in electrical engineering, with a master's preferred
  • CPEng (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience in PV array and BESS design, with knowledge of PVSyst
  • Strong understanding of cable, transformer, switchgear, and protection specification and sizing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and lead
