Technical Lead - Airworthiness Operations

A high-impact aviation environment is calling for a seasoned professional with strong technical expertise to lead the charge in maintaining our fleet's continuing airworthiness.

  • Job Description:
  • Lead and manage a team responsible for overseeing fleet reliability and defect management.
  • Ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective maintenance execution by monitoring disruptions and providing realistic rectification timeframes.
  • Collaborate with planning, AMOs, ROC, and flying ops teams to minimize delays and optimize operational performance.
  • Act as a key liaison between CAMO, AMOs, and ROC on airworthiness matters, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee fleet reliability and defect management to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records in TRAX, reporting on technical issues and defects.
  • Approve defect deferrals on behalf of CAMO, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and flight operations teams to minimize delays and optimize operational performance.

Requirements:

  • LAME B1 or B2 with 5+ years in line or base maintenance, or maintenance watch/tech support experience.
  • Type rating on Dash 8 and/or A220 (or similar aircraft) desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proven commitment to safety, quality, and compliance, with experience managing AOG recovery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
