Strategic Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an Executive Director to lead the development and implementation of integrated business strategies and services that enable operational excellence and ensure the highest standards of governance.

This is a Senior Executive position, requiring a leadership approach that empowers direct reports while maintaining accountability for outcomes.

The role oversees a group that supports executives across the organisation, shaping and executing strategies that protect and advance the organisation's legal, regulatory, privacy, and information access interests.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans that drive operational excellence
  • Lead the development and execution of strategies that safeguard organisational interests
  • Provide expert guidance on complex matters and work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective representation
  • Drive continuous improvement in risk management, fostering a strong and cohesive risk culture

The Executive Director provides strategic oversight of initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals in areas such as leadership, engagement, wellbeing, and talent development.

The role also leads a high-performing function, managing relationships to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent communication with stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business management, human resources, communications, or a closely related field
  • Extensive senior executive experience, with a strong track record in strategic leadership, reporting, and policy development
  • Ability to quickly develop a deep understanding of legislative and policy frameworks, as well as the broader public sector environment
