About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Worker or Peer Worker to join our Rockhampton team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with lived experience of mental health issues to achieve their hopes and dreams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered support to individuals, empowering them to maintain wellness and realize their goals.
  • Develop and implement recovery-focused plans, ensuring that each individual's needs are met and their strengths are utilized.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a comprehensive and highly personalized approach to mental health support.
  • Contribute to the development of new initiatives and programs, ensuring that they are grounded in recovery-based practice and meet the needs of our clients.
Requirements
  • A Certificate IV or above in a relevant field, or a minimum of 2 years' full-time experience working in the human services field.
  • A strong commitment to recovery-based practice and a willingness to learn and grow with our team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • A current Australian Driver's Licence and a willingness to use your vehicle for work-related purposes.
