About this role:
Job Overview- We are seeking an experienced Senior Budget Officer to join our team in a critical role that supports the delivery of road safety camera projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and providing timely budget coordination, financial reporting data, and forecasting advice to support project delivery.
This is a full-time opportunity that offers a VPS5 salary package, including superannuation.
Some key responsibilities of the role include:
Key Responsibilities- Working proactively to ensure future budget commitments can be met and potential risks and opportunities have been identified and mitigated.
- Supporting transactional and strategic procurement activities across the business unit.
- Coordinating the financial reporting to forecast financial performance of contracts, projects, financial phasings, and accruals.
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
Requirements- Demonstrated experience in complex budget forecasting roles in government environments with proven ability to provide expert forecasting reports and commercial governance advice.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain complex documentation and commercial reports of a standard to withstand scrutiny and analyse key budget data as well as finalise forecasted financial trends.
- Working knowledge of Contract Management Frameworks and Financial Management and Compliance Frameworks, as well as commercial governance and confidentiality requirements.
