Production Team Leader Job Description

Our company is seeking a seasoned production team leader to drive excellence in food manufacturing, ensure food safety and quality, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This hands-on leadership role requires a strong understanding of industry standards, food safety, and OH&S regulations. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day production operations, including task allocation, training, and workflow management. They will also ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and uphold workplace safety, hygiene, and quality standards.

The role involves monitoring KPIs and process flows, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness. The candidate will partner with Quality, Innovation, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues, enhance performance, and ensure reliable operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, coach, and develop production team members to deliver consistent, safe, and high-quality food products.
  • Oversee day-to-day production operations, including task allocation, training, and workflow management.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and uphold workplace safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
  • Monitor KPIs and process flows, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
