Lead RF Systems Engineer for Defence Projects

About the Role

This 12-month contract opportunity commences on July 1st and has potential extensions. You will work closely with our dynamic team on exciting projects related to military communications systems and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop radio systems and RF-oriented procedures
  • Derive system requirements, define test requirements, and participate in system design and system requirements reviews
  • Support the development and deployment of test tools
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)/Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
  • Develop RF test plans and procedures
  • Conduct risk reduction trials and acceptance testing
  • Act as SME for in-service and emerging systems
  • Foster a working environment that meets customer requirements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Engineering or Science focused on Radio Frequency Engineering
  • Experience with design and development of military communications systems and products
  • Firm understanding of environmental and EMI/EMC standards
  • Experience developing RF Test Plans and Procedures
  • Knowledge of Defence project life cycle
  • Must meet ITAR requirements
Additional Requirements

In addition to the above requirements, applicants must hold Australian Citizenship and possess a current NV1 Clearance.
