The Opportunity
As the Senior Resource Planning Specialist within the IT PMO at Greencap, you will be accountable to the Director of the Office of IT PMO, overseeing the global resource allocation based on priorities and capacity, while supporting the HUB PMO Directors and Project Managers.
Your Responsibilities:
The Senior Resource Planning Specialist is tasked with:
- Resource Allocation: Ensure optimal resource distribution and capacity management aligned with individual skillsets, past experiences, and availability to enhance project outcomes.
- Tool Ownership: Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of resource planning tools.
- Project Monitoring: Supervise daily project activities, workloads, and associated resource management.
- Conflict Resolution: Address and manage resource conflicts effectively.
- Project Awareness: Stay informed about current and upcoming projects and business initiatives, planning resources accordingly.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of the resource planning process.
- Metrics and Reporting: Achieve established KPIs, including resource utilization and tracking planning forecasts against actuals, providing insights for process enhancement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the Portfolio Manager, HUB IT PMO Directors, and key stakeholders to align project resourcing needs and priorities.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering trust and alignment.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to Greencap's Health and Safety standards at all times.
About You:
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management, information technology, business administration, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in PMO or program/project management focused on resource allocation.
- Experience managing resources across geographically diverse locations.
- Ability to navigate within a matrix organizational structure.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of the IT lifecycle, including pipeline, resource management, demand, project delivery, and financial aspects.
Additional Requirements:
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Presentation and training skills are advantageous.
- A relevant project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE Practitioner, PMP) is preferred.
- Familiarity with ITIL v3 or later is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with peers and leadership.
