VCE Economic Educator Position

A VCE Economics educator will be responsible for delivering and mentoring students in the subject of Economics, focusing on assisting them to achieve specific student outcomes. The educator will engage in critical reflection and inquiry to enhance their knowledge and skills to effectively engage students and improve their learning.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills. They will also have experience in planning for and implementing high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.
Responsibilities- Teach VCE Economics to students in Years 11 and 12
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of all students
- Evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Mentor and support colleagues in their professional development
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community to support student learning, agency, wellbeing, and engagement.
