Mechanical Infrastructure Project Specialist

We are a leading contractor with 30 years' experience in delivering complex infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. Our expertise spans multiple sectors, including water, bridges, transport, underground, energy, and remediation.
Job OverviewAs a Mechanical Infrastructure Project Specialist based in Castle Hill, you will work closely with our project team to provide technical support on the mechanical aspects of our projects. Your key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing daily project engineering tasks and providing technical guidance.
- Conducting design and constructability reviews to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Developing and reviewing cut-in and shutdown procedures to maintain operational efficiency.
- Creating and executing commissioning and detailed inspection plans to guarantee high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborating with the project team to provide oversight and technical support for delegated projects.
- Coordinating construction schedules to meet project deadlines.
- Preparing cost forecasts and reports to inform project decision-making.
- Selecting and managing subcontractors to meet project requirements.
- Maintaining quality assurance processes and adhering to control standards.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in both Mechanical and Civil Engineering, preferably with a strong background in Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP/WTP) projects.
- Extensive experience as a Project Engineer within the construction sector.
- A proven ability to develop innovative solutions for complex technical challenges.
- Proficiency in MS Project.
- Dedication to fostering a high-performance culture.
- Commitment to a zero-harm safety environment.
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
