Job Overview

As a seasoned professional in Machine Learning and Generative AI, you will collaborate with clients on short to medium term engagements, leveraging the Databricks Data Intelligent platform to address their complex challenges.

Your primary role will involve providing data science and cloud technology projects that require integration with client systems, training, and other technical tasks to maximize customer value from their data. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects according to specification, while maintaining excellent customer service.

The Impact You Will Make:

  • You will work on impactful data science and machine learning use cases, including designing solution architecture, MLOPs frameworks, MVPs, and production-grade applications.
  • Guide strategic customers through transformational data science and Generative AI projects, encompassing end-to-end design, build, and deployment of industry-leading AI applications.
  • Offer expert consulting on ML architecture and design, implementing strategic customer projects that lead to successful adoption of Databricks.
  • Provide escalated support for customer operational issues.
  • You will collaborate with the Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect, and Customer team to ensure technical components are delivered to meet customer needs.
  • Work with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product and implementation feedback, and guide rapid resolution for engagement-specific product and support issues.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in the following preferably in a customer-facing post-sales, technical architecture or consulting role:
    • ML Engineer: Design and maintain production-grade cloud infrastructure that supports deployment of ML applications.
    • Data Scientist: Experience with latest techniques in machine learning and Generative AI processing, including vector databases, fine-tuning LLMs, and deploying LLMs with tools such as HuggingFace, Langchain, and OpenAI.
  • Comfortable writing code in either Python or Scala.
  • Experience with technical project delivery - managing scope and timelines.
  • Documentation and white-boarding skills.
  • Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.
  • Build skills in technical areas that support deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions to complete customer projects.
  • Travel to customers 20 - 30% of the time.
  • Nice to have: Databricks Certification.
