Senior Surgical Officer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Surgical Officer to join our team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing surgical services to patients in various hospital settings. This position offers opportunities for professional growth, assisting in the development of junior medical staff and student training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality surgical care in line with Department of Surgery policies and procedures.
  • Maintain current surgical skills through ongoing education and training.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to junior medical staff in clinical areas.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of surgical quality improvement initiatives.
  • Promote evidence-based practice and adhere to medical ethics and standards when caring for patients.
  • Perform non-clinical tasks as directed by the Clinical Director General Surgery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia or equivalent.
  • Advanced postgraduate qualifications in surgery or relevant field.
  • Proven experience in surgical leadership and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
