About the Role

We seek motivated professionals with expertise in transport asset management, safety reporting, cost optimisation, and strong people leadership skills.

This role offers a chance to lead with excellence, drive improvements, and contribute to the success of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the safe and efficient movement of materials to and from vendor sites, ensuring compliance with company policies and legislative requirements.
  • Plan and manage transport schedules, routes, and resources to achieve cost-effective and timely delivery, minimising downtime and maximising efficiency.
  • Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, ensuring all team members adhere to safety standards, conduct risk assessments, and follow compliance requirements, including Chain of Responsibility obligations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
  • Implement innovative solutions to optimise transport efficiency and performance.
  • Maintain high standards of service by addressing customer needs, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring delivery schedules are met.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records related to transport activities, safety incidents, and compliance.
  • Provide timely reports on operational performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee transport asset maintenance, ensuring reliability and arranging repairs as needed.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in transport is essential for this role.
  • Providing leadership and support on all Safety matters and CoR compliance
  • Comprehensive understanding of CoR principles
  • Ensuring all contractors are signed to the Contractors' agreement and all sub-contractors are compliant under CoR rules & regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, planning, scheduling, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation such as the Road Traffic Act & Regulations and Chain of Responsibility.
  • Qualifications in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management would be of benefit.
