Software Engineer

We are part of the Azure Experiences and Ecosystems team. Our team owns the data platform supporting several user experiences including the portal, Copilot, Microsoft Learn and many more.

Our services are accessed by millions of unique users every month. We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer with passion for large data storage and smart integration with an emerging Artificial Intelligence landscape.

Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain scalable, secure, and performant data infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with product and infra teams to capture meaningful signals across services.
  • Support shared tooling and pipelines for model training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Release frequent updates every week.
  • Value quality, security, performance, scalability, usability, and accessibility in everything we do.
  • Be a team-player eager to excel in a dynamic, customer-focused, collaborative environment.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Experience in a Data Engineer or Software Engineer role with a focus on cloud-based big data processing.
  • Be productive and effective when working in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Embrace code technologies like C#, Python, REST APIs.
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to meet Microsoft security screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ year(s) knowledge of data mining, machine learning, or information retrieval.
  • 1+ year(s) experience with Experimentation platforms and processing flighting telemetry.
  • 1+ year(s) knowledge of Azure, Synapse and Grafana.
  • 1+ year(s) of programming experience and a willingness to learn new programming languages/AI tools to meet goals and objectives.
