We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team.
About the RoleThis permanent full-time position is based in Western Australia and involves overseeing the safe and efficient operation of all machinery and electrical equipment onboard.
Main Responsibilities- Supervising Engineering Officers and ensuring adherence to company procedures;
- Safeguarding owners' and company interests at all times;
- Assisting the Chief Officer with ship operations and cargo management;
- Maintaining accurate records and reports as required.
- Australian Marine Order 72 – Engineer Class 1 (mandatory);
- Chief Engineer CoC/CoR Unlimited (required);
- Minimum 12 months' sea time as a First Engineer (essential);
- Certificate of Safety Training (STCW III/2) (desirable);
- Work Safely at Heights Certification (desirable);
- Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification (desirable);
- Holding a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) (mandatory);
- Australian citizenship or unlimited working rights;
- Living in Australia;
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
