Procurement Specialist Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase and expedite materials, parts, supplies, equipment, and services in compliance with established procurement policies and procedures.
  • Identify cost-competitive and reliable suppliers, leveraging RFQ opportunities and supplier capabilities.
  • Analyze business benefit initiatives in capital, sustaining capital, maintenance programs, and operational spend.
  • Ensure all goods and services are ordered and received according to specification.
  • Verify correct costing of materials.

About the Job:

  • Relevant experience in a similar procurement/buyer role, preferably within mining and resources.
  • Demonstrates sound understanding of inventory management and services buying, including commercial and legal terms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid knowledge in procurement to pay and logistics processes, and experience in the supply of both goods and services.
  • SAP experience.
  • Collaborative team orientation and ability to adapt quickly.
  • Ability to handle multiple and highly complex tasks and activities that contain financial and operational risk.
