Civil Construction Site Supervisor

SF Prestige Homes is seeking an experienced and skilled Civil Construction Site Supervisor to oversee all aspects of civil construction and infrastructure operations.

This key leadership position is responsible for ensuring project delivery excellence, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil construction and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Job Description:
  • Project Management & Operations:
    • Coordinate and control site operations in collaboration with the Project Manager to drive project delivery to meet or exceed program timelines.
    • Optimise daily operations for cost effectiveness by managing resource allocation, including plant and workforce planning.
    • Oversee survey and set-out operations to ensure accurate site conditions.
    • Validate construction drawings and specifications against site conditions to ensure quality control.
    • Ensure quality control through proper equipment calibration and setup (for example, laser levels – line, level and grade).
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Implement and maintain project management plans and site-specific risk analyses to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Enforce WHS&E requirements and project safety plans to prevent accidents and injuries.
    • Conduct worker inductions and maintain compliance records to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
    • Lead regular safety audits and weekly inspections to identify potential hazards.
    • Ensure subcontractor WHS&E compliance through document review and management.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Implement and oversee inspection and test plans to ensure quality standards are met.
    • Verify work quality against drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain calibration standards for all measurement equipment.
    • Monitor and document construction progress and quality outcomes.
  • Resource Management:
    • Coordinate with Project Manager for material requirements and advance planning.
    • Liaise with Procurement Manager regarding material delivery schedules.
    • Communicate with Construction Manager regarding plant and equipment availability.
    • Manage on-site inventory and material verification processes.
    • Oversee plant maintenance schedules and coordinate with Plant Manager.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive daily site records, including site activities, material deliveries, plant movements, workforce attendance, weather conditions, variations, site inductions, and review and approval of staff timecards.
    • Document material deliveries and maintain accurate records.
    • Prepare daily reports and timesheets.
