Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our Enterprise Valuations team. As a key member of the team, you will be involved in performing internal and external enterprise valuations to support Mergers and Acquisitions activity, Board reporting and statutory requirements; as well as valuation/financial analysis to support strategy development and strategic initiatives within Corporate and Business Divisions.
Responsibilities
- Performing internal valuations and performance measurement of existing businesses
- Performing valuation, financial modelling, analysis and due diligence support of any potential corporate development activities (merger, acquisition and divestment)
- Extracting financial data from relevant finance systems for use in valuation analysis
- Undertaking special projects in relation to providing valuation, financial analysis & advice to support Corporate and Divisional Requirements (transformational and strategic initiatives)
- Assisting in building key stakeholder relationships (Group Strategy, divisional business managers and external financial advisors)
- Conducting research and continuous improvement on the valuation framework
- Ensuring all valuation processes are well defined, documented and continuously improved
Requirements
- You have proven analytical/quantitative skills in interpreting financial information and ability to communicate outputs in written and verbal form
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Professional Services Corporate Finance or Corporate Development roles, would be desirable
- You are a strong communicator and relationship builder with the ability to engage with key stakeholders
- Proficient level of MS Excel modelling skills
- Knowledge of financial report systems (SAP, Cognos TM1) and frameworks
- You have Tertiary qualifications in an analytical or mathematical discipline e.g., Actuarial studies, Finance, Statistics, Commerce, Accounting, Business, Economic or a related discipline
- You are a member (or studying toward gaining a membership) of an accounting, finance, or actuarial professional body
- Sound business/commercial acumen and relationship management skills
- Able to manage competing priorities
