Industrial Refrigeration Technician

A refrigeration technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial refrigeration systems. This involves carrying out planned and unplanned service and maintenance tasks, accurately completing paperwork related to work performed, fostering professional working relationships with customers, and participating in company-facilitated training and meetings.
Industrial refrigeration technicians work on a variety of equipment, including compressors, condensers, and evaporators. They must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems, perform repairs and replacements as needed, and ensure that all work is done safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in industrial refrigeration, a strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A current valid driver's license and current restricted electrical license are also required.
To succeed in this role, you should have a positive and proactive approach to safety, be willing to work flexible hours, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines. Ammonia experience is preferred but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and unplanned service and maintenance on industrial refrigeration systems.
- Accurate and timely completion of required paperwork related to work performed.
- Fostering and maintaining professional working relationships with our customers.
- Actively participate in all company-facilitated training and service meetings as required.
Requirements
- Be a qualified or experienced Refrigeration Mechanic.
- Current valid driver's licence.
- Current Restricted Electrical licence.
Desirable Qualities
- Previous experience in industrial refrigeration.
- Strong work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Proven ability to work individually and in a team.
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Will be willing to work flexible hours, manage time and meet deadlines.
- Ammonia experience preferred but not essential.
- Positive and proactive approach to safety.
