Maternity Care Leadership Opportunity

This role presents a unique chance to lead a multidisciplinary team of passionate clinicians in the western suburbs of Melbourne, focusing on delivering high-quality maternity care.

As a leader in this field, you will be responsible for managing our 9 bed Birthing Suite and 24 hour Maternity Assessment Unit, providing effective midwifery leadership and strategic direction in partnership with other clinical teams.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar role, demonstrating positive collaborative skills and sound knowledge of management processes including HR, clinical risk and financial management.

You will work closely with the Divisional Director Perioperative and Specialist Services & Women's and Children's Services to deliver seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Midwifery Team, promoting excellence and safety
  • Develop strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure smooth delivery of care
  • Manage resources effectively, ensuring efficient use of staff and facilities
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
