About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Director to lead our Quality Engineering team in Sydney. As a key member of our Technology organization, you will be responsible for driving a culture of continuous improvement in testing practices that supports Nuix' software development practices and philosophy of "always releasable" software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of over 20 Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET) and Quality Engineering Managers to deliver all software testing globally across Nuix.
  • Develop and execute a quality engineering strategy and roadmap that uplifts the technical capability across Nuix.
  • Manage the relationship with quality engineering teams (vendors and Nuix staff) across all locations where Nuix engineering staff are based.
  • Establish, manage, and maintain vendor partnerships to foster strong working relationships and identify opportunities to leverage partner capabilities.
  • Make informed commercial decisions that meet organizational quality engineering needs.
  • Ensure the quality engineering brand characterizes the Nuix core values and builds advocacy with internal teams.
Requirements
  • 7+ years managing Quality Engineering teams with proven experience in testing best practices, testing frameworks, test data management, and continuous integration practices.
  • Seasoned leader with experience in managing and developing quality engineering teams within a technology organization.
  • Highly experienced in working with and managing vendor partners and offshore teams.
  • Familiarity with agile development and continuous integration practices.
  • Strong knowledge in testing best practices, test automation tools, and testing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with functional teams.
  • Ability to balance technical and leadership responsibilities effectively.
