Job Summary
The Clinical Academic Leader - Sydney Clinical School is a key leadership position in the School of Medicine and Psychology. The position plays a critical role in the development and achievement of the School's strategic goals within the Sydney Adventist Hospital and Adventist Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent medical education and fostering an environment where research and scholarship can flourish.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the School's goals and objectives
- Lead and manage a team of academic staff to deliver high-quality medical education and research
- Foster strong working relationships with clinical partners, including the Sydney Adventist Hospital and Adventist Health
- Develop and maintain partnerships with industry and community organizations to advance medical education and research
- Provide leadership and guidance to academic staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality education and research
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant field
- Proven track record of leadership and management experience in academic or clinical settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including academic staff, clinical partners, and industry representatives
- Strong understanding of the Australian higher education sector and the role of universities in advancing medical education and research
