About the Role

UGL Pty Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to fill the position of Finance Lead. This role will be based in Perth, WA and will report directly to the Finance Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial analysis and reporting support to the project team, as well as ensuring accurate and timely financial results. They will also be required to manage revenue and expense reporting for operations, provide actionable insights to drive business performance, and oversee the Finance and Administration teams.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the go-to finance contact for the Project Managers, providing financial support for tenders, business cases, and process improvements.
  • Ensure efficient month-end processes, align all balance sheet reconciliations with best practices, and deliver comprehensive financial reports.
  • Oversee and guide the Finance and Administration teams, ensuring smooth completion of transactional tasks and skill development for team members.
  • Monitor budget forecasts, upload Cost Breakdown Structures into SAP, and ensure financial processes align with project requirements.
  • Participate in client meetings, produce reports, and foster strong client relationships.
  • Analyze financial data, model contract performance, and work closely with Contract Managers to optimize profitability.
Requirements
  • Qualifications:
  • Degree in Commerce or Accounting; CPA/CA or equivalent.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years in finance, with demonstrated success in managing multi-disciplined project teams.
  • Experience with Operations & Maintenance contracts under multiple commercial structures (Lump Sum / SOR) is highly desirable.
  • Advanced Excel Skills (required)
  • Demonstrated solid commercial understanding (required)
  • SAP knowledge (preferred)
  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, commercial acumen, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, and cash management.
  • Competencies:
  • Proactive decision-making, analytical mindset, innovative problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous learning.
