Assistant Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager, where you will be responsible for supporting the management of self-managed super funds (SMSFs). Your primary objective will be to continue developing your career with a growing specialisation in SMSF accounting.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in SMSF accounting and possess a relevant Bachelor's degree (Commerce or similar) with a major in Accounting, along with a CA/CPA qualification underway. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.

Your key responsibilities will include entering and allocating accounting transactions for SMSFs, undertaking bank and investment reconciliations, interacting with clients, preparing financial statements and tax returns, and liaising with third parties such as the Australian Tax Office and financial institutions.

You will also assist in training, coaching, and mentoring junior staff members. If you are a self-driven individual with excellent problem-solving skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience in SMSF accounting
  • A relevant Bachelor's degree (Commerce or similar) with a major in Accounting and a CA/CPA qualification underway
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using SimpleFund 360
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
