We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Services Professional to join our team. As a key member of our Business Advisory division, you will support small to large private businesses, family groups, not-for-profits, and foreign-owned businesses.
You will be responsible for managing and administering smaller clients, having face-to-face client contact, and meeting productivity, client budgets, and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:- Tax Compliance: Prepare tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
- Business Activity Statements: Prepare Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements.
- Tax Office Correspondence: Manage Tax Office correspondence (e.g., assessments, instalments, PAYG variations).
- Fringe Benefit Tax Returns: Prepare Fringe Benefit Tax returns.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial reports for all entities.
- Management Analysis: Generate and analyze management reports such as cash flow and budgets.
- Workpapers: Prepare workpapers to the division's quality standards.
- Mentorship: Support and mentor junior team members, acting as a buddy when needed.
- Service Delivery: Deliver high-quality services and meet client expectations.
- Experience: 18 months to 3 years' experience in a Business Services environment within a Chartered/CPA practice, with some exposure to tax issues.
- Qualifications: Degree qualified, with CA/CPA studies underway.
- Technical Skills: Technically proficient, with a desire to stay updated on taxation law and accounting developments.
- Interpersonal Skills: Supportive and capable of mentoring junior staff and acting as a buddy.
- Time Management: Able to identify issues and discuss with the appropriate manager.
- Communication Skills: Excellent time management skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Professional Presentation: Professional presentation and strong interpersonal and communication skills for client and team interactions.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with APS, Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
