We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will provide friendly administrative support to patients with a wide range of heart and cardiovascular conditions.
Based in our Hervey Bay Clinics, you will be responsible for providing and achieving a high quality, accurate and efficient reception and administrative service to the practice and its patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide excellent patient care and customer service, ideally in a medical/healthcare environment.
- Manage a large volume of telephone enquiries, respond promptly and professionally to patient calls and emails.
- Adapt to and manage an environment where there is ongoing change and competing priorities.
- Bill and receipt patient accounts, reconcile daily banking and document scanning.
- Book and reschedule patient appointments for testing and consulting, import and distribute medical records and patient information.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced administrative role.
- Strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to work as a proactive member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience in billing/receipting medical accounts, Medicare and DVA billing.
- Exceptional phone manner and ability to handle a high volume of patient enquiries.
- High attention to detail and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Part-time position, days of work - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Total of 19 hours per week, 10am-4:50pm each day.
