About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our Revenue team at dbt Labs. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in leading the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of dbt Cloud for our largest enterprise and commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with customers to understand their data needs and develop tailored solutions using dbt Cloud.
  • Design and implement enterprise-grade data pipelines in dbt Cloud, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with customer contacts to achieve architecture and security approval for dbt Cloud.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to build the dbt ecosystem and go-to-market motion.
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally, surfacing feedback and weighing in on product roadmap.
  • Closely align with strategic partners, such as data platform providers and consulting partners.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time to meet with prospects and customers.
  • Be an active member of the dbt community, contributing to blogs, meetups, and other initiatives.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BI.
  • A solid technical background, with experience in SQL, ETL, and data modeling.
  • A firm understanding of modern data warehousing architectures.
  • Ability to gather and translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills to discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment.
  • A passion for being an inclusive teammate and involved member of the community.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working at an analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced software company.
  • Knowledge of or prior experience with dbt.
  • Experience with Dimensional Modeling.
  • Experience with traditional Enterprise ETL tooling (Informatica, Boomi, Talend, WhereScape).
