Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at Glencore. As a key member of our Mechanical Maintenance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze downtime and time usage data to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and other stakeholders to develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and other operational issues
  • Work closely with mechanical and refractory teams to ensure furnace rebricks meet quality and inspection standards
  • Prioritize and recommend improvement projects and provide justification for implementation
  • Manage engineering solutions, implement, and monitor performance
  • Provide monthly reports to senior management
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in heavy industry
  • Refractory knowledge and experience is advantageous
  • Experience and training in condition monitoring, root cause analysis, and asset management
  • Mechanical knowledge and understanding of conveyors, pumps, agitators, and hydraulic drive systems
  • Computer Management Maintenance Systems (CMMS) - SAP, Microsoft Office Suite knowledge and CAD experience is favorable
