
Healthcare Support Specialist

Mater Private Hospital is seeking qualified nursing assistants to join its medical, surgical and rehabilitation team.
As a nursing assistant, you will assist clinical teams in providing safe and quality patient-centred care under the direction of a registered nurse, midwife or enrolled nurse.
- You will gather information about patient care needs through observation and notification to senior clinical staff of identified changes in the health and functional status of patients.
- You will undertake observations and assessments following the direction and delegation of senior clinical staff members.
- You will assist with patients' personal hygiene, appearance and dietary consumption needs and maintain a safe, sanitary and secure environment for patients.
To be successful as a nursing assistant, you will require:
- A certificate III qualification in individual support or health services assistance or equivalent;
- Prior comparable experience as a nursing assistant or personal care attendant/assistant; and
- Digital and computer proficiency extending to Microsoft 365 applications.
