Senior Payroll Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Officer to join our team at HelloFresh in Sydney. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for processing and managing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for approximately 1250+ employees across three entities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and manage end-to-end payroll on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant awards and legislation.
  • Help mentor and manage the workload of the payroll team under the direction of the Payroll Lead ANZ.
  • Analyse and validate time & attendance records, identifying any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
  • Prepare final payment calculations, workers' compensation, and other ad-hoc pay calculations, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Maintain employee data accuracy across multiple systems, ensuring seamless integration and minimal errors.
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of Australian and New Zealand payroll legislation and Modern Awards, staying up-to-date with changing regulations and best practices.
  • Provide excellent customer service as the first point of contact for payroll queries, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in high-volume end-to-end payroll processing, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Experience and knowledge of Modern Awards, preferably the Food, Beverage, and Tobacco Manufacturing Award and Storage Services and Wholesale Award.
  • A good working knowledge of end-to-end payroll and its complexities, with a strong analytical background and proficient Excel skills.
  • A strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
