Job Title: Dietitian Deputy Head of Department

The role of the Dietitian Deputy Head of Department involves leading the delivery of quality services in dietetics to patients/clients within a designated district. This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage dietetics caseloads effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team and deliver high-quality services in dietetics.
  • Manage dietetics caseloads across a regional team, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.
  • Implement evidence-based practice and participate in clinical research initiatives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with staff, patients, and clients through open communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics, with eligibility for membership of Dietitians Australia (DA).
  • Highly proficient written, verbal, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Extensive knowledge and clinical proficiency in dietetics, with a focus on evidence-based practice.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize dietetics caseloads effectively, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Current unrestricted driver's license, with willingness to drive/travel as required.
