About the Role

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Conductor of Conductive Education Programs to join our team. As a key member of our Conductive Education team, you will play a vital role in designing and supervising in-class operations of Conductive Education group programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Conductors to design and implement Conductive Education programs that cater to the diverse needs of students with motor learning impairments and associated difficulties.
  • Report regularly to the Conductive Education Co-ordinator on student progress, including observations, Individual Education Plan (IEP) development, data collection, and report writing.
  • Contribute to collaborative processes with school-based colleagues, therapy providers, and parents to develop and promote Conductive Education pedagogy.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on Conductive Education principles and practices.
  • Participate in the planning, preparation, and delivery of Conductive Education programs for 0-4 Early Intervention Parent and Child groups.
  • Collaborate with Conductors to conduct Initial Assessments of new students and develop IEPs.
Requirements
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights.
  • Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before commencing employment.
  • Consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development, implementation, and review of Conductive Education programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the latest trends and research in Conductive Education and related areas.
  • Demonstrated sound oral and written communication skills, including report writing and professional development.
  • Demonstrated sound conceptual and analytical skills, including problem-solving and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated sound interpersonal skills, including collaboration and autonomy in a trans-disciplinary team.
