Technical Lead for Cloud Engineering

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Java Software Engineer to lead our cloud engineering efforts. This role will be instrumental in driving the development of cutting-edge software solutions using Java and other technologies.

  • Experience in leading technical teams, with a strong focus on cloud engineering, is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS, and experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, Hibernate, and microservices architecture is necessary, as well as experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes is also required.
  • Azure or Google Cloud Platform experience would be beneficial, but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Gitlab, Nexus, and Hashicorp Vault tools is a plus.
  • A comprehensive understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance principles is expected.
  • Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes through innovative technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cloud engineering efforts, including designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure cloud-based systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cloud adoption and develop strategic plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Design, develop, and implement CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications, ensuring high-quality code and efficient deployment processes.
  • Work closely with infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services with existing on-premises environments.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud engineering.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor junior engineers to improve code quality and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on Java and cloud computing platforms.
  • Proven track record of leading technical teams and driving innovation in cloud-based software solutions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
