Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced painter and decorator to join our team at Hue Property Services in Wollongong. As a key member of our maintenance, repair, and restoration solutions team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting projects to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Surface Preparation: Assess, sand, fill, smooth, clean, and prime surfaces for optimal paint adherence.
  • Painting and Decorating: Perform precise freehand cutting in, apply paint using various tools for a smooth finish, and skilfully apply caulking to fill gaps.
  • Project Management: Review job specifications, plan project steps, track progress, manage materials, handle equipment, and ensure work meets high-quality standards.
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients, provide excellent customer service, and collaborate with team members.
  • Jr. Supervisor: Supervise and manage junior workers (part-time, casual workers).

Requirements

  • Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in relevant field.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant painting experience.
  • Full-time position available, 38 hours/week, but must be available for 7 days a week and willing to work odd hours.
  • Must have valid driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Construction license of painter, industry qualifications such as Working at Heights and High-Risk Work Licence for EWP is desirable.

Working Conditions

This role is based in Wollongong, New South Wales, and requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be required to travel to client sites and work in a fast-paced environment.

Salary and Benefits
