About the Role

Latrobe Regional Hospital is seeking a Consumer Perspective, Mental Health Lived Experience Worker to join our Traralgon Community Mental Health team on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide peer support to consumers who are receiving care from Latrobe Regional Health Mental Health Service.
  • Form mutually supportive and empathetic peer relationships by sharing your own story and understanding of the impacts of mental distress and illness on consumers.
  • Use your lived experiences to provide emotional and practical support, making it easier to navigate the mental health system, and inspiring confidence, optimism, and hope in others about the journey of recovery.
