Key Responsibilities
  • Support the business partnership relationship with EGL, including month-end reporting, business partnering, forecasting, and budgeted processes.
  • Lead and drive the financial support to a key program of work with the purpose of 'right sizing' our Woolworths Technology Function as EGL transitions out.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce Woolworths technology consumption as services to EGL are transitioned out, through a data-led approach.
  • Quantify and capture the identified opportunities, including building business cases as required.
  • Track and report against program initiatives. Partner closely with operations teams to ensure opportunities are crystallized.
What You'll Do
  • Become a trusted advisor to the Directors, by injecting analytical rigor and innovative thinking into the issues the business faces, and proactively finding and landing opportunities to add value.
  • Partner with the Directors to provide strong Financial Governance across actuals, budget, forecasting, business case, and balance sheet processes.
  • Lead and coordinate planning cycles / financial review rhythms to drive financial outcomes and accountability.
  • Provide financial leadership and commercial acumen to management surrounding investment decisions through business case development and assessment.
  • Work with Program / Project Managers to prepare financial models to support business cases, including incorporating a benefits tracking plan.
What You'll Bring
  • Experience partnering on strategic matters and building strong relationships with a wide range of senior stakeholders is essential.
  • A passion for innovation and outside-the-box thinking, to develop opportunities while challenging the status quo.
  • CA/CPA qualified or undertaking with demonstrated experience in a senior commercial finance/analytical role, preferably within an FMCG / technology environment.
  • Ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders and establish and maintain strong business partnerships.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and a passion for using data to influence business outcomes.
  • Experience in building financial models to support contract negotiation and business cases.
  • Proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work across different areas within the business.
