Senior Contract Administrator Position

Contract Management Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for a seasoned Contracts Administrator to join our organisation in Canberra.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with management to negotiate and prepare tenders, as well as ensure compliance with regulations. They will be responsible for the administration of subcontracts, including procurement, payments, and variation assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of subcontractor tender packages, scope of works, contract documentation, and procurement schedules
  • Preparation of head contract progress claims
  • Submission and evaluation of variations
  • Head contract administration
  • Preparation of end of month costs reports for presentation to the Construction Manager
  • Administration of RFIs to clients and consultants
  • Assistance to Project Manager with daily operations
  • Maintenance of project document control
  • Negotiation and Building Relationships with Suppliers

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or a similar field preferred but not required
  • Sound knowledge of the residential market, including sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Experience working on complex or multiple projects
  • Demonstrated proven track record of the successful delivery of contracts across residential and/or commercial projects
  • A strong background in contracts administration or quantity surveying
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
