Job Overview

  • As a leading consultancy practice, we offer expert civil, structural and façade engineering services with over 40 years of experience.
  • This role involves working on diverse and challenging residential, commercial and industrial projects.
  • Responsibilities include the design of façade projects as well as reinforced concrete, structural steel and timber structures.
  • Structural analysis will be undertaken using software, spreadsheets and hand calculations.
  • Sketches will be prepared to inform drafting or drawings can be prepared by hand.
  • Site inspections will be conducted and high-quality reports and related documents will be produced.

Key Requirements

  • Façade engineering experience is essential.
  • Design experience in steel/concrete structures is also required.
  • Proficiency in engineering software, including STRAND7, Robot, INDUCTA, THERM, and AutoCAD is necessary.
  • A knowledge and understanding of Australian Standards and Design Codes is expected.
  • An understanding of the design process from tender concepts through to IFC is also required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment is also required.
  • Ability to analyse and design either with or without computer software is necessary.
  • Working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines is expected.
